--- title: "UKOmnibus Quant live-edit and crosstab walkthrough" status: processed source_type: product walkthrough session_date: 2026-05-27 duration: "17m 37s" customer: "UKOmnibus Group" participants: - Nathan Pereira - Desmond Leo - Fernando Guevara product_area: "Quant Surveys" tags: [ukomnibus, quant-surveys, live-edit, crosstabs, prototype-test, customer-evidence] --- # UKOmnibus Quant live-edit and crosstab walkthrough ## Source file - [walk through UI Improvements for Live Edit.docx](<./walk through UI Improvements for Live Edit.docx>) — original Microsoft Teams transcript export. ## What happened Nathan reviewed proposed improvements to live survey editing after experiencing confusion in the existing workflow. He then tested a prototype for rolling up crosstab rows and columns. ## Evidence relevant to launch ### The live-edit changes addressed an observed user problem Nathan said that bringing the relevant links and controls into one place helped and that the revised flow “stops confusion.” He approved the direction for build. **Reference:** Nathan Pereira, 6:13–9:29. He also described the visible change indicator as a useful “sense check” that could help users spot accidental edits. **Reference:** Nathan Pereira, 10:44–11:15. ### Crosstab roll-ups removed a manual workaround After using the row and column roll-up prototype, Nathan said: > “That's superb. That's brilliant.” He then explained the practical value: > “Before I would have to have created a background variable for that. But I can just do it in real time now.” **Reference:** Nathan Pereira, 14:06–15:05. ### The session produced a concrete follow-up Nathan identified mean-score summary tables as his next priority. This is evidence of continued, task-specific product engagement, not proof that every requested capability is already delivered. **Reference:** Nathan Pereira, 15:09–17:17. ## What this supports - Quant Surveys is being shaped through observed use with an active pilot customer. - Specific workflow changes addressed a recorded usability problem. - Configurable crosstab roll-ups replace a manual background-variable workaround for this user. ## What this does not prove - Measured time saved across complete studies. - That the prototype was production-ready on the session date. - Broad demand, conversion or willingness to pay outside the pilot relationship. - That every survey workflow is low-touch without support.
